Italy’s phone code is the telephone country code that is used for phone communications when a call is placed from outside of the country.

Italy’s country code is +39. The country code is necessary only when dialing a phone number to make a telephone call from another country. International callers who wish to dial a telephone number in Italy should dial Italy telephone country code (+39) before the national telephone number preceded by area code.

The mobile phone codes in Italy are three digits and always start with 3 (without the trunk code “0”). When dialing a mobile phone number from outside of the country, first you need to dial the exit code (for example, “011” or “+” sign if calling from the United States), then Italy’s country code “39”, plus the 10 digit phone number including the three digit mobile code.
