What is China Phone Code?
China’s phone code is the telephone country code that is used for phone communications when a call is placed from outside of the country.
China’s Country Code is +86
China’s country code is +86. The country code is necessary only when dialing a phone number to make a telephone call from another country. International callers who wish to dial a telephone number in China should dial China’s telephone country code (+86) before the national telephone number preceded by area code.
How to dial a phone number in China using Country Code?
All phone numbers in China consists of 2-4 digit area code followed by a 6-8 digit national telephone number. Follow these easy steps to dial a phone number in China using the country code:
Step 1. Enter your country’s exit code on your phone. If you are calling from Europe please enter the 00 (or “+” sign if calling from a mobile device) or 011 if calling from the United States. American callers use the “011” exit code for all international call, including China.
Step 2. Dial 86, China’s country code.
Step 3. Then enter China’s area code.
Step 4. Right after the area code, dial the national phone number you wish to call in China.
Here is an example:
When calling from Europe: 00 86 aa bb bbbb (or +86 aa bb bbbb from a mobile device)
When calling from the United States: 011 86 aa bb bbbb

China mobile phone codes
Mobile phone numbers in China are not similar to the landlines format. Chinese mobile phone do not have area codes, but have 11 digit numbers. The mobile phone numbers are operated by the three largest local mobile phone companies – China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom.
When dialing a mobile phone number from outside of the country, first you need to dial the exit code (for example, “00” or “+” sign if calling from Europe), then China’s country code “86“, then the 11 digit telephone number.
For example, enter 011 86 bbbbbbbbbbb or +86 bbbbbbbbbbb if calling from the United States.
